Peter van Stolk
Founder Jones Soda
As founder of Jones Soda Company in 1987, van Stolk served as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors through 2007. Peter’s original marketing approach of interacting online with consumers brought Jones Soda Co. success in a crowded beverage industry. Integrating customer input, Jones Soda fast became known, and is still known for unique flavors and custom packaging. Since his company’s inception Peter has overseen the launch of many new product lines including non-carbonated juice, tea, and energy drinks. He successfully competed against the global multi-billion dollar soda giants, and earned brand loyalty among consumers, all on a shoestring budget.
By 2007 Jones Soda had reached over $40 million in revenue, transforming Jones Soda, from a small premium Soda to an international brand with global aspirations.
A marketing maverick with an innate and unique approach to grounding his products, van Stolk has over 20 years experience in business creation, business development and product sales. A true entrepreneur, van Stolk beat the odds and broke new ground into the beverage market. He has been recognized for his innovative branding strategy and business savvy in publications such as The New York Times, CNN, Wall Street Journal, Fast Company and People Magazine to name a few. Peter has received numerous business awards including 40 under 40, Brand Week top 100 marketer, as well as one of Canada’s top hundred as listed by MacLean’s Magazine.
Today van Stolk is a much sought-after international speaker. He travels worldwide, educating various groups on a broad range of marketing and business topics including how to compete, how to market your product, and how to build a successful business. He also is CEO of the Seattle based The Tree Fort Group, a social media consulting company; and on top of all else that he does, Peter is the Director of Vitamin Angels, a charity for children that seeks to provide vital nutrition to children in the Third World.
Please make a point of welcoming this extraordinary businessman to Edmonton in September.

Set Your GPS for Success--and Take the Ride of Your Life
If there's one thing peak performance experts like Wayne Lee agree on, it's that the mind is
capable of leading us anywhere.
He also knows that for many of us, our minds are littered with detours, potholes, and accidents
waiting to happen. Fear, self-doubt, inhibitions of all kinds, these beliefs reside in our
subconscious and prevent us from reaching our conscious goals. But if you set your GPS--your
Great Programmable Subconscious--for success, you can achieve anything while taking the ride
of your life.
Wayne's own journey to excellence was fueled with an unrelenting passion for entertaining and
empowering people. From a childhood fascination with magic and visualization, Wayne's gift for
seeing and acting on what's possible has grown to international proportions: He is one of North
America's premier corporate presenters, a veteran of thousands of successful shows, a published
author, and peak performance mentor to professionals of all walks of life.
And he's practiced what he preaches. Wayne is a former five-time Canadian amateur wrestling
champion, who also served as a beloved classroom instructor before taking the stage in the
corporate world.
Which brings us back to the power of the mind. Wayne Lee is an unrelenting advocate for
individuals and teams looking to turn potential into performance. Through humor and hypnosis,
he helps people drop their defenses and access the GPS. Once in there, Wayne shows how what
you put in--beliefs, attitudes, goals and vision--acts as coordinates that absolutely determine
whether or not you reach your destination. Get it wrong and you're stuck in traffic. Get it right
and you'll get to your goal faster and more directly than you ever thought possible.
Many people find it difficult to make the connection between the inner goings on of the mind and
outward action and performance, yet it's crucial to any success.
That's why Wayne Lee's work is so special. He can break down the barriers
of even the most cynical and resistant individuals through laughter and hypnosis,
in the process showing them how to access their own subconscious. Once people
realize what's possible when they program the GPS for success, it's as if they become
a new person--the person they were always meant to be. For employers, that means
productivity, teamwork, and a great attitude at work. For employees themselves, it's
like being handed the keys to the ride of their lives.
